The roots of Leisure Kingdom date back to 1963 when Don Amott senior founded the company. Don Amott junior took over the reins when his father died in 1975.
In October 2006, due to sporting commitments and other business responsibilities, Don Amott sold his interest in the company to Tony Weavers, who became Managing Director, and Paul Coxon, Financial Director. Following Tony’s passing in 2009, principal shareholder, Don Amott, returned to oversee the restructure of the management team. The team is made up of long serving personnel from its current management team. They are Richard Mortimer from Hilton who became Sales Director and John Broderick from Allestree who took on the role of Managing Director.
